Use a Seasonal character and complete the first raid

The Leagues system announced September 15, 2026 is available to Seasonal characters. After your first raid, the game places you in a group of 50 players at your rank. Each group has its own leaderboard, ordered by the experience earned during that week. [1]

Steps

1. Play your first raid with the Seasonal character to enter its ranked group. [1]
2. Earn experience through eligible Tarkov activities such as eliminating PMCs, Scavs and bosses, completing tasks and examining items. Those activities contribute to League progress. [1]

Arena experience is excluded from the League total

EFT: Arena experience still goes to your character but does not count toward Leagues. If your goal is the weekly League leaderboard, distinguish character XP earned in Arena from experience eligible for that competition. [1]

Understand promotion and the weekly standings

At the end of each week, the top 25 players in the group move up, 15 remain at their rank and 10 move down. Your standing therefore depends on experience relative to the other members of that weekly group, rather than an experience target promised by this guide. [1]

Keep rank rewards and check reset conditions

Reaching a new rank for the first time grants its rewards permanently, even after a later demotion. The publisher says rewards are available across modes, though in-game mail delivery to PvP and PvE can be delayed. Resetting Seasonal-character progress resets the current rank and experience earned during that week. [1]
