Torrent is summoned with the Spectral Steed Whistle. Bandai Namco describes some areas and dungeons as restricted, so begin in a location where summoning is permitted. Ride, dash and double jump with the mounted controls
The publisher’s controller guide uses left-stick movement for walking or running. Hold Circle on PlayStation or B on Xbox while moving to dash. Jump uses Cross on PlayStation or A on Xbox, and pressing it twice performs a double jump. This can make the steed whistle easier to reach without scrolling the whole quick-item bar. Mounted fighting requires attacking the correct side at the right time. The publisher notes that a charge attack can hit multiple enemies and end with a stronger thrust, and some spells can be cast while mounted. It also recommends crafting feed to keep Torrent standing.
