Choose the accounts that will share items
Shared Unlocks links Klei accounts from different platforms so their item entitlements can be used while the accounts remain linked. Only one account per platform can be linked, and Klei says to link accounts you own. On a shared computer, its guide suggests an incognito browser window to help prevent accidentally selecting someone else’s account. [1]
Steps
- Visit accounts.klei.com and sign in to your Klei account. Open Settings, then Link or Unlink an Account. [1]
Select the platform and verify its sign-in
Steps
Resolve warnings and let linking finish
Steps
- If the flow shows warnings, read them and select Fix Warnings to reach the account settings page. For the matching-email example, verify the same address separately on both Klei accounts. [1]
- When no errors remain, read the consent information, fill in the Confirm box and select Link Accounts. Keep the Klei Accounts page open until the process completes, then return to your Klei account page. [1]
Check the sharing result and its limits
The account page marks a successfully linked platform with a green Linked indicator. Sharing grants access to items while linked, without transferring ownership or the original account’s currencies. The read-only copies cannot be spooled. Klei also warns that although linking can be reversed, you must wait 30 days before trying again, making the account-selection check at the start useful. [1]
