October hotfix: Linux R3 / Right Stick Click input
Red Hook’s October 8 hotfix corrects R3, or Right Stick Click, not working properly for Linux players. This is the original Darkest Dungeon PC release. It is not a report about Darkest Dungeon II or a fix for every controller input. [1]
Mod Manager preview: many conflict warnings in a large modpack
Red Hook warns that the preview’s conflict detection can produce false alarms with large modpacks of more than one hundred mods. The reason given is overlapping files that do not necessarily cause problems in play. The notice says to treat these warnings as informational, rather than proof of a real incompatibility. [2]
Mod Manager preview: a mod does not appear in the list
The September coming_in_hot Mod Manager preview cannot recognize a mod that lacks project.xml or required parameters inside it. Red Hook says there was no workaround for that limitation in the announced preview. An absent mod therefore does not by itself establish that its Workshop subscription failed. [2]
Retail 27890: hotkey text missing when a save starts with a controller
The August retail hotfix lists missing hotkey text when a save is started with a controller as fixed. The same release corrects the Butcher’s Circus error message and incorrect availability display on non-Steam builds. Those storefront-specific corrections do not make Butcher’s Circus available on unsupported builds. [3]
