Start AutoDrive from one of your vehicles on a road
AutoDrive was introduced in Update 2.3 as an autonomous driving feature for your vehicles. Get into one of your vehicles and make sure it is on a road before activating it. The publisher’s activation prompt is holding G on PC or the left stick on consoles. Combat and severe vehicle damage disable the feature, so those conditions matter when the command is unavailable. - Enter one of your vehicles on a road, then hold G to activate AutoDrive on PC. [1]
Choose a destination or leave it in free roam
A selected job objective or map pin gives AutoDrive a destination. With no destination set, the feature instead takes V on a ride through Night City. Patch 2.31 describes the destination mode as overtaking blocking vehicles and no longer stopping at traffic lights, while the upgraded Free Roam mode follows traffic rules. The two modes therefore have intentionally different behavior. [1] [2]

- Set the intended objective or map pin before using AutoDrive for a destination journey. Leave the destination unset for the free-roam ride. [1]
Turn on the AutoDrive cinematic camera
The feature has its own cinematic camera. During AutoDrive, hold Q on PC to activate it; the announcement lists D-pad Right for consoles. This camera lets you watch the journey through cinematic views rather than treating it as another destination-selection command. AutoDrive still has the documented combat and vehicle-damage restrictions. [1]

Unlock and call the separate Delamain cab service
A Delamain cab is a separate on-demand service rather than one of the vehicles you personally drive into AutoDrive. Update 2.3 says it unlocks after completing Don’t Lose Your Mind, regardless of that job’s outcome, and receiving Delamain’s message. Once unlocked, it is selected from the vehicle-call menu. Check both the completed job and the message before expecting the entry. [1]

- After completing Don’t Lose Your Mind and receiving the message, open the vehicle-call menu and select Delamain Cab to request the ride. [1]
