A selected Pass Royale reward cannot yet be used

At selectable Pass Royale milestones, a reward can be chosen before its Arena requirement is met. Supercell explicitly says the reward cannot be used until that Arena is reached. The selection being accepted is therefore not a promise that the special card form or reward is immediately usable on the current account. [1]

Evolution does not activate on the first card play

The evolved form is not always available immediately. The card must be played its required number of times until its diamonds turn purple; the next play is the evolved one. After using the Evolution, the cycle starts again. A normal first deployment therefore does not by itself prove the Evolution failed. [2]

1. Watch the diamonds and complete the card’s required cycle. Play it again after the diamonds turn purple to deploy the evolved form. [2]

Unlocked Evolution behaves like the normal card in battle

An unlocked Evolution must be placed in the Evolution Slot or Wild Slot. Supercell says it behaves as the normal card when placed in an ordinary slot. The Evolution Slot unlocks at Arena 3 and the Wild Slot at Arena 10, so ownership of the evolved form and access to the correct deck slot are separate requirements. [2] [3]

Previous-season rewards have not been claimed

For unclaimed rewards from the previous season, Supercell says a Claim button appears at the bottom of the Pass Royale view. This instruction applies to Pass Royale; the page separately lists claiming previous-season rewards among the features absent from Mini Pass Royale. [1]

Pass Royale streak rewards differ from another player’s

Supercell says Pass Royale streak rewards are being tested, may not appear on every account and may vary from friends’ rewards. A difference between accounts can therefore match the documented test. The same page says skipping a month resets the purchase streak, which is a separate condition from whether an account is included in the test. [1]
