Missing Treasure and Factory Resources corrected

Platforms: PCUpdated Evidence checked

The September 30 hotfix addresses missing Treasure Resources in the Exploration Age and Factory Resources in the Modern Age. Firaxis explains that the previous random resource selection did not require every resource in those groups to spawn, whereas the updated selection does. The change is intended to make relevant Triumphs and Victories more consistent. [1]

Late-game Modern Age stability fixes in September 30 hotfix

Platforms: PCUpdated Evidence checked

The September 30 Update 1.5.0 hotfix implements stability and crash fixes, especially in the late-game Modern Age. The release also says the Switch and Switch 2 hotfix follows later; this entry covers the Steam evidence rather than claiming simultaneous delivery to those consoles. [1]

Resolved

Multiplayer turn-advancement softlocks addressed

Platforms: PCUpdated Evidence checked

The same hotfix addresses softlocks that could prevent multiplayer turn advancement. Firaxis directs players who still experience issues after the patch to its support portal; it does not supply a separate in-session recovery sequence in these notes. [1]

Officially acknowledged

True Start Location Earth has setup restrictions

Platforms: PCUpdated Evidence checked

Update 1.5.0 restricts True Start Location Earth to Huge size and an Antiquity Age start; Advanced Starts are not supported for this map. These are documented map restrictions, so a missing smaller size or later start is not by itself a broken setup menu. [1]

Documented workaround

Some new effects need a new campaign

Platforms: PCUpdated Evidence checked

The 1.5.0 release explains that some new abilities or effects may not appear in existing saves and recommends a new game for the best experience. Players on Steam who prefer to finish a current campaign under a previous version are offered a legacy beta branch. This describes the developer’s compatibility options, rather than a procedure to convert every existing campaign. [1]
