Start with the Motion Assist controls
Open the Accessibility menu and use Motion Assist for the camera and movement-visual controls. It groups Cursor/Reticle Settings, Look Sensitivity, Field of View, Smooth Look and Stairs Skip. The developer includes recommended setting adjustments with each feature, so use those displayed recommendations as your starting point instead of assuming one numeric sensitivity or field-of-view value fits every player. These are game presentation settings intended to reduce motion sickness and sensory conflict; the announcement does not promise a universal result. The grouped controls and in-menu recommendations are documented together. [1]
Steps
- Open Accessibility, then Motion Assist to find sensitivity, field of view, Smooth Look and Stairs Skip. [1]
Adjust the cursor and disable spiral-staircase travel visuals
Cursor Set lets you change the opacity, style and size of the reticle and cursor. Choose those controls if the pointer itself is hard to see. Stairs Skip visually turns off spiral staircase travel, providing a separate option for that specific sequence. Adjusting the cursor and skipping that visual sequence are distinct controls within the same accessibility rollout. Stairs Skip changes the staircase travel presentation. [1]
Steps
- Use Cursor Set to change pointer opacity, style or size. [1]
Use patterns or labels when vivid colors are insufficient
Color Assist offers more than brighter puzzle colors. It also has separate systems for color patterns and for displaying color labels on objects of inquiry. If distinguishing a clue by hue is difficult, use those pattern or label tools to make the clue readable through another cue. The tools describe color information; they do not replace the puzzle with a supplied answer. [1]
Remap controls or invert the stroll-button behavior
Key and button remapping supports both keyboard and controller. Invert Stroll changes the movement-button rule: the faster stroll speed becomes the default without holding a button, and pressing or holding the stroll button slows movement to a walk. Select that option when you prefer the faster speed without a continuous hold; use remapping when the physical key or button placement is the problem. Invert Stroll changes the default and held-button speeds. [1]
