How to Use Cross Progression in Apex Legends

Identify the EA Account holding your progress

Cross Progression is available automatically. Its requirement is a platform account linked to the EA Account holding your Apex profile. Progress is permanently tied to that EA Account, so choosing the correct account matters before linking another platform. [1]

Steps

1. Open your EA Account Portal and check which platform accounts are linked. Use the EA Account containing the progress you intend to continue. [1]

Use the existing account when moving between platforms

Steps

1. Sign in to Apex Legends with the EA Account that stores your progress. For a new platform, follow EA’s platform-linking procedure for that same account so Cross Progression can use the link. [1]
2. If the platform was already unlinked, relink to the original EA Account through the Account Portal. Linking it to a different EA Account will not transfer the old progress. [1]

Do not treat linking as a new profile merge

The original Cross Progression rollout happened in October 2023. For accounts affected by that rollout, profiles linked to one EA Account were merged using the highest-level profile. Progress spread across separate EA Accounts was not merged, and EA says it cannot combine Apex progress from two EA Accounts. Some content also remains platform-exclusive. [1]
