A Story of Isolation
In BrokenLore: DON’T LIE players step into the shoes of Junko, a young woman living as a hikikomori—someone who has withdrawn from society and exists in near-total isolation. As the story progresses, buried memories begin to resurface, causing the reality around Junko to twist and distort. Familiar spaces transform into unsettling reflections of her past, forcing players to navigate a world dictated by trauma and self-deception.
The game centers on a first-person perspective, focusing on environmental storytelling and psychological unease rather than jump scares. Along the way, players will be shadowed by an unseen presence that reacts to their actions, heightening the tension as they attempt to uncover the truth.
Expanding the BrokenLore Universe
This release continues the studio's broader horror anthology. The series has previously explored themes like social media culture in BrokenLore: UNFOLLOW which was noted for its distinct visual design and audio work. BrokenLore: FOLLOW has also recently arrived on current-gen consoles and PC.
"At Wired Productions, we’ve built a reputation for publishing distinctive horror experiences that stay with players long after the credits roll," said Leo Zullo, Co-founder and Managing Director at Wired Productions. "BrokenLore: DON’T LIE is an exploration of isolation, memory, and self-deception that creates an experience which feels deeply human while remaining profoundly disturbing."
The final game will feature full Japanese voice acting throughout. For those interested in tracking the game's release on consoles, an Xbox Store page is already live.
