Toronto-based developer Soft Rains has confirmed that Ambrosia Sky: Act Two will launch on PC via Steam on August 6, 2026. Announced during the Story-Rich Showcase, this update serves as the conclusive chapter for Dalia’s journey through the abandoned space colonies of The Cluster.

Following the release of Act One last fall, the second act picks up with Dalia, a field scientist returning to her home to confront the fallout of a sentient, erratic fungus that has left the colonies in ruins. Players continue their search for Dalia’s ex-girlfriend, Maeve, while gathering DNA samples to aid in research regarding human immortality.
Expanding the Cleaning and Survival Gameplay
The finale promises to resolve the narrative threads established in the first act while introducing new mission locations and fresh types of exo-fungus. Soft Rains is also implementing a reworked progression system and additional upgrades to help players contend with the spreading crisis.
The core gameplay loop remains centered on the unique blend of FPS action and meditative cleaning. Players use an upgradeable chemical sprayer to clear contamination, harvest alien fruit, and craft new ammunition types that mimic the properties of the fungi they encounter. Exploration involves navigating zero-G environments where unstable gravity fields can shift in direction and strength at any moment, requiring the use of a tether to traverse the environment and uncover hidden areas.
Laying the Dead to Rest
Beyond the survival mechanics, the game emphasizes the human cost of the disaster. Throughout the colony, players will encounter the victims of the infestation, with opportunities to lay them to rest in scenes designed to piece together the history of The Cluster. The developer—a team comprised of veterans from studios behind titles like Skyrim, Fallout 3/4, and A Mortician’s Tale—aims to blend these poignant narrative moments with the high-stakes survival of the PC gaming experience.
